Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
Jugo is all about delivering the best experience, as simply as possible. All you need is access to a stable internet connection (20MB per second up and down is perfect) and a non-restricted firewall, then you’re good to go.
To self-test your device and network are able to access Jugo, head on over to https://app.jugo.io/check.
Jugo is an entirely browser-based experience, delivered from a secure cloud server. Whether you’re a participant, host, director (for events) or speaker – everyone joins simply and securely from their chosen browser. Participants and speakers join via the web link they’ve been provided, while hosts and directors join via Jugo’s web app.
If you’re using a company device – or you’re on a company network – you may be contending with company-restricted firewalls stopping you from accessing the Jugo platform.
If this is the case, you should contact your IT department and request to have https://jugo.io and https://app.jugo.io whitelisted, which will allow you to access Jugo.
You can also self-test your device and VPN’s access by heading over to https://app.jugo.io/check.
Unlike other video conferencing platforms, Jugo provides a suite of pre-designed environments to ensure the best experience fits the right engagement need. Jugo’s meeting environment – typically used for one-to-few, boardroom and department meetings – can hold up to 20 participants.
Jugo’s event environments – which are recommended for Town Halls, All Hands and wider external events – are designed for audiences larger than 20. There is no upper limit to how many participants can join Jugo’s event environments.
As with all things Jugo, simplicity is the key to a great experience. All you need is a standard webcam. Built-in laptop, desktop and external cameras are all great.
If you’re going to be a speaker or a host in front of a green screen, a dedicated external webcam is a nice to have (but not essential). As long as you have a device with a working and accessible webcam and microphone, you’re Jugo ready.
You do not need any type of green screen setup to join Jugo; simply join using your normal camera and background.
If you need help, please contact Jugo’s Customer Support via this form or via email at hello@jugo.io.
Absolutely. With an active Jugo account, you can run as many concurrent meetings and events as you want, with no limitation to the number of participants, type of engagement or start time. As long as you have your participants registered and ready to go, the world is your Jugo oyster.
Play away! Jugo supports screen-sharing in all its environments, which includes sharing of video and rich media. As we know image quality is an essential part of any virtual experience, Jugo has the ability to upload video and multimedia files directly into your chosen environment – offering the best possible media quality in real-time.
Today, you can record both meetings and events from within the Jugo platform for all environments. Post event, the recording will appear in Jugo’s admin panel ready to be downloaded and shared, as needed. In the very near future, Jugo will also provide the option to livestream Jugo environments in real-time, directly from its admin panel.
Using your preferred third party video streaming platform, it is also possible to connect your Jugo experience to a livestream link and share with wider audience for passive viewing outside of the Jugo platform.
Of course. Every Jugo meeting and event can be set up for recording. All recordings are stored in Jugo’s admin panel, ready to be downloaded and shared whenever you need them. You can also decide whether you want participants to access your recordings, which will send a recording link out to all participants.
Jugo is a fully-enabled, browser-based experience designed to be accessed from any laptop, tablet or desktop device able to connect to Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Jugo does not support Safari, as the browser delivers a sub-par experience.
With Jugo’s screensharing capabilities, you’re able to use any of your current collaboration tools in Jugo’s meetings and events environment. Combine that with Jugo’s in-platform chat, polling and emoji sentiment voting widgets, and collaboration becomes an effortless part of the experience.
